Welcome to the Chap911 blog
A place for reflections, practical guidance, and resources for the work of spiritual care.
Welcome. This is where we'll share short reflections, practical guidance, and resources for chaplains and spiritual caregivers — the kind of things that don't fit neatly into an app screen, but matter just as much at the bedside.
What you'll find here
We'll write about the real, human side of the work:
- Words that hold a moment — what to say (and what to avoid) when there's no script.
- Prayers and rituals — how to offer them with confidence across traditions.
- Caring for the caregiver — practices for staying grounded in heavy work.
Why we're doing this
Chap911 grew out of real bedside moments. The blog is an extension of that same purpose: to support the quiet, demanding work of showing up when it matters most.
Some phrases meant to comfort can actually hurt. Our hope is to help you find words that hold the moment instead of breaking it.
Thanks for being here. More soon.
